“The Heating Transition Book” Promotional Events

We are thrilled to announce two major upcoming launch events for The Heating Transition Book (subtitled “Heat Pumps, Renewables & Other Hot Stuff”), a project where Heat Pumps Watch played a significant co-authoring role. After months of intensive work, we are excited to see this creative tool hit the international stage in both Brussels and Berlin!

Event 1
Colour-Crazy Kick-off in Brussels

Following European Heat Pump Day, we are ready to inject some fun and humour into a topic that is often deemed too dry and technical.

  • What: The official launch of The Heating Transition Colouring Book.
  • When: Wednesday, October 22nd, starting at 17:00 (5:00 PM).
  • Where: Wild Rover Pub, Brussels.

The book is an engaging way to tell the story of how Europe heats and cools its buildings and industry—and why a clean, sustainable transition is both necessary and inevitable. We are proud to launch this creative initiative at the heart of the EU, showing how we can inspire through data and activate public engagement with complex issues like the energy transition.

Event 2
German Debut and Expert Discussion in Berlin

Our European journey continues with the German launch in Berlin, hosted by 1KOMMA5°. This event will be an opportunity to delve deeper into the book’s core themes: why heating is political, complex, and crucial for Europe’s climate goals.

  • What: Official publication event for “Heat Pumps, Renewables & Other Hot Stuff”.
  • When: Monday, November 4th.
  • Where: Hosted by 1KOMMA5°, Berlin.

The book makes these complex themes visible—clear, well-researched, and visually extraordinary. It is written and designed for everyone who wants to be part of the conversation on sustainable energy. Heat Pumps Watch is delighted to see this project brought to life across Europe, ensuring the message reaches homeowners, policymakers, and professionals alike.

We extend our sincere thanks to all partners involved, including the European Climate Foundation, the European Heat Pump Association, the Cool Heating Coalition, and contributors like Thomas Nowak, Eleonora Moschini, and Sarah Azau.

We encourage everyone who wants to learn more about sustainability and the energy transition—but doesn’t want to feel like they are doing homework—to check out our infographic’s novel and colouring book! We look forward to seeing you at both international events.
